The Children Inspired by Yoga Collective

Updated: Mar 17, 2022

We have brought together a group of incredible humans that have helped to make us the creative community we call Children Inspired by Yoga. They include professionals, mothers, creatives... there is no specific background that will create success, but this opportunity attracts adventurous, fun loving women (although can be men too) who seek a more flexible work life, & one where they are in control.

“Together we can make a huge difference to the health and happiness of the children of our country. So in the end CIbY makes me happier too.”

SAM PETTER - CREATOR & FOUNDER

Sam is an artist, designer, yoga teacher and passionate advocate of a creative process. Sam started Tatty Bumpkin back in 2004 as a way to inspire children to move, explore and be creatively inspired.

Alongside her dedication to the bendy, giggly world of Children Inspired by Yoga, Sam is a masters swimmer and has competed in the World and European Championships. In 2019 she won Kent Business Woman of the Year (Maidstone) & in 2021 she was the proud recipient of LLoyds bank small business of the year for the networks pandemic resiliance.

SUE HERON - HEAD OF TRAINING & PROGRAMME DEVELOPMENT

Sadly, Sue passed away suddenly in 2020.

However, her passion for CIbY lives on in the 200 lesson plans & associated materials she gifted to the programme. Her ethos & love for children's development lives on through our trainings which she developed. We miss her everyday, but we carry her work forward & her playfulness is evident in all we do.

A Paediatric Physiotherapist with a passion for working with children with additional needs, Sue previously worked for the NHS for over 20 years. Working with the Children Inspired by Yoga curriculum allowed Sue to explore and evolve the aspects of child development and movement that she was passionate about while having the freedom to integrate the rigidity of the curriculum with Sam’s creative direction.

PHILIP DAVIS - ARTIST CIbY SONGS

& CONSULTANT

Philip is a teacher with more than 20 years of experience. He is also an acknowledged expert in the creative application of music, movement, images and words, to enrich the curriculum. Philip has worked closely with QCA, as an associate consultant, on enhancing the curriculum using music. He is the creator of the Beat It CD series, Move It: the music and the Write Inspired programme.

OUR COMMUNITY OF FRANCHISEES

Engineers, ice dancers, captains of industry, music execs, prison wardens, teachers, doctors of biology, headteachers, yoga teachers, to name just a few of the experiences that our franchisees bring to our community and are connected by the spirit of CIbY.

Together we are stronger.
